Blog API Settings
Blog API, also known as Weblog, Blogger or MetaWeblog API’s, is a set of protocols that allows the Blubrry Publishing Interface to maintain your podcast episodes and blog posts on an external blog or weblog enabled web site.
Some of the more commonly supported web applications:
- Habari
- Livejournal
- Movable Type
- WordPress

Settings
Enable Blog API – Check this box to allow the Blubrry Publishing interface to cross post episodes to your external blog.
Blog Title – Enter the title of the blog to post to.
Select Supported APIs – The Blog API is a collection of separate APIs. Not all blogging applications support all of the blog APIs, so it is critical to select the combination that matches what your blog supports.
- WordPress 2.5 or newer – WordPress 2.5 or newer includes extra API functions that are exclusive to WordPress that make it possible to manage everything in the blog.
- Typical Blog – Typical functionality which most well developed blog applications support.
- Covers the Basic – Basic functionality, which works but may be limited in obtaining categories.
- Very Limited – For Blogger API 1.0 only supported blogs. There are currently no known blogs that are this limited but the option is available for backwards compatibility.
Always Post – Always send blog posts and episodes created in the Blubrry Publisher to your external blog.
Blog XML-RPC / API URL -Also referred to as an “RPC URL” or “service endpoint” address, is a unique URL where communication between the Blubrry Publisher and your blog takes place.
Blog ID – Optional setting that may be left blank in most cases. Please refer to your blogging service if a blog ID is required. WordPress, Habari and Movable Type. Live Journal users, your Blog ID should be your sign-in username.
Blog Username – The username used to sign into your blog.
Blog Password – The password used to sign into your blog.
Pull Categories -Check this box to pull all of the categories on your blog. This list of categories will be avaialble when editing blog posts from the Blubrry Publisher.
Append Enclosure in Body – Adds a link to your media at the bottom of your blog posts.
Append Enclosure Text – Enter the text used for the link ot your media.
